EGO’s new cocoa mug is designed by ceramicist Trine Fournais.

It is big and generous and ideal for warming your hands on a cold winter’s day. The mug is made from thermo-insulating layers that will keep the cocoa hot while preventing children from burning their fingers. Each mug is unique because the cocoa glaze is applied by hand, giving each mug an individual expression.

“I have tried to excite the senses by allowing the cocoa glaze to trickle down the sides of the mug. The shape of the mug was inspired by the cocoa bean, and it is large enough for a nice dollop of whipped cream.”

Environmentally friendly EGO product

EGO is introducing EGO Clean Light, a vegetable alternative to disposable containers filled with petroleum-based fuels. EGO Clean Light is a patented and environmentally friendly product that meets the requirements of businesses (particularly restaurants etc.), consumers and the authorities for liquid-based lamp oils that do not impact the environment or humans unnecessarily.

Less soot considerably improves the indoor climate
The raw materials for EGO Clean Light are by-products from the vegetable oil used as the main ingredient in all modern soap and shampoo products. The new and revolutionary formulation means that soot emissions are one-thousandth of the emissions from traditional liquid-based petroleum lamps.

The reduced soot emissions have the benefit of eliminating the problems often experienced by people and staff in cafés and restaurants when numerous wax candles and petroleum-based lights are burning.

Meets all European regulatory requirements
EGO Clean Light is a clean product without any of the negative properties that have prompted the EU authorities to introduce minimum safety requirements for oil lamps and rules for the marketing of lamp oil.

Product properties
The burning time of this product varies from 25-35 hours. The reason for this relatively large difference in time-span is that the burning time is based on laboratory tests that strive for optimum conditions with a view to achieving the longest possible burning time. Factors such as relative humidity, temperature, atmospheric pressure etc. greatly influence the burning time.

This method is widely used within the candle wax and oil lamp industries etc. to achieve a uniform basis for comparing different producers of e.g. stearin/paraffin wax candles and the traditional and hazardous petroleum-based lamp oil. We have therefore used the same test method specifically to be able to make comparisons with our newly developed and patented vegetable oil.
